In my life this week...
I have been playing catch-up - again! I spent all of last week in bed with what I finally found to be strep throat! The kids and I all ended up passing it around. Poor Andrew was better for a whole day before he began to complain of his ear hurting. After three days of more intense pain and fever, I finally took him to the doctor so that we could get something to clear up his ear infection. He is feeling much better today! My goodness, we have made up for all of our years of rarely being sick in this one year! We are going to spend today cleaning the house and practicing piano and violin!
In our homeschool this week...
We did a little math and reading, but with the pain in Andrew's ear and very little sleep, we were not able to accomplish much. I need to regroup and figure out how to get us back on track, but I haven't had a chance to do that yet.
Places we're going and people we're seeing...
We are getting ready for Grandma and Grandpa to come back for the summer. They travel south during the winter and then spend most of the summer with us. The kids are very excited and counting down the days! We will also be going to Evvie's and Andrew's piano recital tomorrow. It has been so much fun to watch as they have progressed this year, and it is a great opportunity for them to be able to play in front of others.
My favorite thing this week was...
Spending more time outside watching the kids play and enjoying the sunshine.
My kiddos favorite thing this week was...
Watching the cement trucks come and pour more of our new house!
I'm grateful for...
A sweet husband and kiddos who took care of me while I was feeling so badly, everyone being healthy again, my wonderful mom who always gave and gave and then gave some more, my mom-in-law who raised an amazing son for me to spend my life with.
Not too much to tell about this week, but I am thankful we made it through anyway! :) Hoping for a more accomplished week next week. Until then, enjoy your beautiful weekend. Don't forget to stop and count the little blessings! Happy Mother's Day Weekend!
